One of the luckiest things about Brave New Worlds is that I mostly lucked out when it came to hiring. I seemed to get the best people, that wasn’t entirely due to luck however. We didn’t conduct any Pre-Employment Screening. Once we got what I would like to term “bad hire.” Boy did we learn from that experience!

Sorry for the paucity of posts this last two weeks I have been working earlymiser.com and my colocated servers. One of the things I have been looking at is off site back up for Thalasar.com. I have four Dell boxes online which host various projects. I need an offsite backup method for those boxes. One of the services I have been looking at is IDrive-E Online Backup.

With Matt Cutts trying to destroy the paid link market it’s apparent that there is a good way to buy text link ads and a “bad” way from Google’s perspectative. I find it pretty frustrating that Google feels it necessary to use back channels like Matt Cutt’s personal blog to disseminate information about their main product, namely their search engine.
