AMAX Achieves Elite Solution Provider Status in NVIDIA Partner Network Program

FREMONT, CA (PRWEB) March 18, 2015

AMAX, a leading provider of HPC and Data Center solutions, today announced that it has achieved Elite Solution Provider status in the NVIDIA Partner Network program.

Specifically, the designation recognizes AMAX’s achievement in the Accelerated Computing Competency, which includes technical expertise; customer service; and the ability to design, implement, and maintain best-in-class accelerated computing solutions from NVIDIA.

The NVIDIA Elite Solution Provider in Accelerated Computing Competency recognizes partners who design, deploy, and support parallel computing, HPC (high performance computing), and other accelerated computing markets such as big data processing/analytics.

The Accelerated Computing Competency encompasses system solutions, infrastructure management, and communications. It includes the following NVIDIA products and technologies: Tesla®, NVLink™, CUDA®, and PGI. The designation is a result of annual revenue performance and successfully completing the NVIDIA’s Accelerated Computing training requirements.

“As one of the original technology partners for NVIDIA’s Tesla line, we are honored to be recognized for our leadership in GPU-integrated solutions,” said Jean Shih, President, AMAX. “We plan to continue supporting this market by developing highly efficient and powerful cluster technologies for the medical, financial and research markets.”

“With the NVIDIA Partner Network program, we’re creating a network of partners who collaborate to inspire and delight customers with world-class visual computing solutions,” said Shanker Trivedi, vice president of Enterprise Business, Worldwide Field Operations at NVIDIA. “The Elite Solution Provider status represents the highest level of accelerated computing expertise a partner can achieve, and we welcome AMAX, well known for providing dynamic solution and Open Compute Project design, into our new program.”

AMAX will showcase an OCP-Ready GPU platform at the GPU Technology Conference (GTC), March 17-20th at the San Jose Convention Center. Compatible with the Facebook-inspired Open Compute Open Rack standard, this platform marries the operational efficiency and modularity of OCP with parallel-computing performance of NVIDIA GPUs. Key features include support for Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 processors, 16 DIMM slots for up to 512GB RAM, and an NVIDIA Tesla K80 card, making it a dynamic platform for parallel-computing applications such as database mining, risk analytics, life & earth science modeling and seismic exploration. The platform serves as an available building block for AMAX’s ClusterMax™ OCP cluster.

AMAX will also showcase GPU-based platforms for the medical industry. These platforms are ideal for applications such as medical imaging, and manufactured under AMAX’s ISO 13485 certificate for industry compliance. These solutions are available branded or as OEM platforms.
