Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to start making money online. You don’t need your own product. You promote someone elses product and earn a commission for each sale that you make. There are lots of different routes you can take but the best one is, without a doubt, Clickbank and digital products. Clickbank is very reliable and they handle everything between the vendor, the customer, and the affiliate(you). Digital products are great because the customers can download them imediately. There are no shipping or packaging costs, and because of this the commissions are quite high.

The first thing you will need to do is find a profitable product to market. This can be quite tricky and you need to consider a few factors.

Will you earn a good commission? Usually anything from $ 20.00 up is a good commission.
Is the product actually selling well? Clickbank has statistics below each product which you can use to tell.

The next thing you need to know is how much competition you have. This can be done by finding a ratio between the number of searches on keywords related to your product and the number of search results there are. The smaller the ratio the better.

There are lots of free tools (eg. Good Keywords) you can use for calculating the number of searches on specific keywords.
You can find the number of results by simply typing keywords related to the product into google.
This process will also help you find keywords to use in your marketing strategy.

If you have found a profitable product with little competition then you are ready to promote it. Clickbank allows you to create a hoplink which is basically a link containing your clickbank username. When a customer clicks on this link and purchases, the commission is sent to your clickbank account.

So all that is left to do now is promote the product using the hoplink. This can be done in many different ways, which I will cover in another article.
