Oracle CEO Larry Ellison in D10 Digital Conference compared Apple’s late co-founder Steve Jobs to one of the greatest thinkers in the history, which was the first time for Jobs’ lifetime friend Ellison to make public remarks on Steve Jobs since Steve Jobs died in October last year.
Ellison made a speech at the conference: “Steve Jobs would turn a good idea into a brilliant finished product. He is really a highly creative artist, engineer and entrepreneur, being different from anyone else.”
In the General Assembly in which executives in the technology industry participated, Ellison and technology reporter Walt Mossberg as well as the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios and Steve Jobs’s former longtime collaborator Ed Catmull all made a speech, discussing the heritage left by the legendary figure Steve Jobs to Apple.
Ellison likened Jobs to Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein and the inventor Henry Ford. He said like the outstanding figures in these different areas, Steve Jobs’s obsession to details and focus on completing tasks mean that he would ask himself to be perfect as others. He pointed out that: “Among successful people, obsessive-compulsive disorder personality is not so rare. Jobs was cruel, because he wanted to make a great product.”
Among the greatest successes of Steve Jobs, some came from the problems that others in the industry are trying to avoid such as Apple’s decision to open retail stores in 2001 to sell its products. Ellison said: “The decision to open retail stores is another example. When everyone else said the offline retail store had ‘died’, Jobs said: ‘It may not’.’”
Although Jobs generally was not so concerned about the financial data, but Ellison recalled one thing. It is in the day of Apple’s market capitalization being more than Oracle’s, Steve Jobs called him: “Steve Jobs was proud of that. But for him, this is not a driving force but rather a standard to measure. That means what he is doing is right, and people like his products and buy these products.”
Jobs in 1985 was expelled by Apple, which was a warning to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google co-founder Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who have retaken the voting control of their own Board of Directors of the Company. Ellison said: “Look at current Silicon Valley genius, and they no longer trust the board of directors.”
It is not so easy to make Diablo 3 Gold in the game. However, Tory is good at this. If you need it, you can go to the website.
