The guys over at Pay Per Post are really promoting their blog awards. In the run up to Posticon 07 they are sponsoring a People Choice type awards site, called Blogger Choice.

Bloggers can nominate and then vote on various blogs in specific categories. Since I just recently got active with this blog, I am not going to be seeking any nominations myself. (And let’s face it, this blog is still very much a work in progress.)
Voting is starts now and continues to through the end of April. Winners will be announced at the end of Posticon 07. The blogging categories are pretty diverse. I see Best Animal Blogger (I assume this is someone blogging about animals, not an actual animal blogging). Other categories include hottest mommy blogger and the most obnoxious blogger. That last category is similar to the worst blog of all time category where even if you win you are still a loser – although it looks like some people are actively promoting their blogs as the worst blog of all time.
These type of awards often become huge fan fests where an A list blogger can win with a single post asking his/her valiant readers to simply vote for them in a particular category. Here’s one of the nominees in the hottest mommy blogger caretegory, asking for support on her quest to become the hottest mommy blogger.
