Hey Jack, I started my career as a Affiliate marketer 2 years ago. Before
starting my career It tooks three weeks for understanding what is Affiliate
marketing is? But You did an excellet job here. You give a clear view of
Affiliate marketing in just two minutes video.

i’ve got a question now. if said person buys something through your
recommendations, and the seller like amazon pays a commission, i’d imagine
that amazon would want to do everything it can do avoid having to pay
commissions to anyone. everybody is always out to maximize their profits
and minimize costs/expenses, right? and why would said person who’s
thinking of buying a camera, visit marketers if they already know they can
buy it on a big site like amazon that also contains reviews of the product?
while i like the idea of affiliate marketing, it just seems like it’s a
go-between that people can easily avoid, at least for the example of amazon
and walmart…
Hey there Lullemans72! Amazon grew their business tremendously with the
help of many affiliate marketers. You are right about the go-between
because as a affiliate marketer, most of the time, you actually did try out
the product by yourself and people tend to trust you more if you give share
your personal experience or your truthful opinion. This will lead viewers
to click on the affiliate link you have provided which will direct them to
the source to purchase the product.
Most people, especially people who are researching on the product they want
to buy, will not go directly to the source, they will look out for reviews
and if they find a good review, they will most likely click on the link
which lead them directly to the source.
Amazon is just an example, there are so many types of products and so many
types of companies that use affiliate marketers as their promotional
source. In Amazon, because they are selling physcial products, you make 4%
to 8% commission, however, in digital products like ebooks or online
courses, you make 30% to 70% commission. So there are many affiliate
programs out there which are looking for affiliate marketers to promote
their products.
