Your UDID is a 40-digit sequence of letters and numbers that looks like this: 0e73ff56a12a6cf0c8290cbb08ab6852181fb54b. It’s common for developers to ask for your UDID as they require it to give you beta copies of iOS apps.

Open iTunes (the Mac or PC app, not iTunes on your iPhone).

Plug in your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

Click its name under the devices list.

Ensure you’re on the Summary tab.

Click on the text that says Serial Number. It should change to say Identifier (UDID).

Select Copy from the Edit menu.

Your UDID is now in the clipboard, so you can paste it into an email or message.

I went to the Coronado Ventures Forum on mobile apps which only had one speaker with a mobile application. (Sorry Ipad only apps don’t count in my mind). Mobile apps are just that mobile apps. Ipad usage is similar to netbook usage by consumers and typically that is at home. That was the CEO of Jack Rabbit Systems, Andrew Van Luchene. It wasn’t a bad event. I wish the moderator had kept a firmer hand on the tax crank who showed up.

Yet another reoccurring theme of the night was the difficulty of finding talent in New Mexico. By talent people mean engineering talent. It was problem at Deep Web and it’s going to be a for any startup in New Mexico. My advice of course is to design your development environment to be entirely virtual so you can go after talent where ever you can. This requires a more disciplined approach in the design and requirement phase of the project as you cannot rely on informal communication to sort out issues. This means Github for code control, campfire for virtual discussions and some form of project management tool that is virtual. That will allow you to scale your organization without being tied geographic regions.

After debating a number of people online who constantly claim that either the datasets or the climate model software isn’t available for download, I have decided to put together a comprehensive list of where you can download datasets and software. I know that in many ways this is a futile effort. Getting the data and models up and running isn’t a trivial task. In fact like a lot of scientific software it requires a degree of knowledge. After I sold I my company I spent 18 months looking at the issues, models and data. I am at best an educated amateur.

It’s hard to think that they are going to be successful. They do have a shopping rewards aspect to the program. Will they be able to buy enough consumers to make it successful?

Obviously my two recent posts are an example of that. I very rarely use the Thalasar blog to build links for new sites but I did so just recently to test specific aspects of the Google index. If you look carefully at the posts, it’s pretty apparent what I am testing. When testing it always makes sense where possible to do an A/B split – although I am only splitting one of the last two posts to test.

Graco Children’s Products Inc., have been working closely with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to issue a safety recall of the Harmony High Chair. 1.2 million Graco high chairs from 2003 to 2009 are affected by this recall – we can tell you that the Harmony models are no longer in production.
The screws holding the front legs of the high chair can loosen and fall out and/or the plastic bracket on the rear legs can crack causing the high chair to become unstable and tip over unexpectedly. This poses a fall hazard to children.
Graco has received 464 reports of screws loosening/falling out and/or plastic brackets cracking causing the high chair to tip over unexpectedly. These tip-overs resulted in 24 reports of injuries including bumps and bruises to the head, a hairline fracture to the arm, and cuts, bumps, bruises and scratches to the body.

This recall involves all Harmony High Chairs. The Harmony high chair was manufactured from November 2003 through December 2009 and is no longer in production. The model number can be found on the label that is located on the underside of the foot rest. Below is the complete list of model numbers affected by the Graco Highchair recall.
