Here's the real meat of why the LAMP stack is really beginning to make traction in the corporate marketplace.
The LAMP stack, however, "showed significantly better software quality," with an average of 0.29 defects per 1,000 lines of code, the technology company said.
Of course PHP had more bugs than PERL. This isn't surprising since PHP is much younger than PERL and hasn't gone through the same amount of development.
