Not a small guy

I am not a small guy. In fact while I am not fat, I am pretty big. I played football one year as a lineman in Division III so I am still pretty big. Another problem I have is that I like loose clothing.
This means I often buy sizes larger than I wear so they feel comfortable (and to adjust for the inevitable shrinkage). So I shop at a wide variety of shops. Since moving to New Mexico I have been wearing more t-shirts as part of my layering. I never did that in Pasadena since it was far warmer during the winter. It seems to me that wearing a t-shirt under a dress shirt is a lost habit. Is that a function of casual Fridays becoming casual every days?
